The programs range from 4 to 5 weeks long and are focused on High School students earning college credit through hands-on activities. The programs are:

iDesign ST (June 15 - July 9, Mon-Thurs 9am - 4:30pm) Cost: FREE: Introduction to the Skilled Trades (or iDesign-ST) students will spend four weeks learning carpentry, welding, machining, and wood technology. This is a great opportunity for teens to determine if the trades might be a career path for them. Students will be creating their own take-home projects as well as working on group projects. Come learn what it takes to be a skilled trades person. Deadline for application is May 15, 2015 and more details are in the attached flyer.
The course is open to both High School students and recent grads, and we’re especially interested in high school seniors who like to work with their hands and might be interested in enrolling in the Fall.

Physics for Building Science (June 22 - July 23, Mon-Thurs 9am - 3pm) Cost: FREE: Is a free summer program for incoming High School juniors & seniors to gain an introduction to green careers, sustainability and energy efficiency principles, while learning math & science skills with hands-on and real-life applications, and getting both high school and college credit! There are great field trips to learn about energy efficiency in buildings and how they work. This program includes a stipend for students.
Completed applications must be postmarked by the May 15th deadline and include teacher’s recommendation. Please start early, so that teachers have time to prepare. We look forward to hearing from you! The application is a PDF form you can download, type into, save and email back as an attachment. See attached flyer for details or go to program webpage.
